Art has always been a way for me to express my creativity and stay grounded in the present moment. I try to spend at least a few minutes each day immersed in making something by hand. I'm especially fond of folk art—particularly the vibrant styles of the Nordic countries and the intricate Hindeloopen tradition from the Netherlands.
I love working on practical, everyday items like boxes, bags, trays, and small pieces of furniture. One of my greatest joys is creating personalized gifts for friends—whether for birthdays, holidays, or just because. I also enjoy supporting my favorite library (the Mountain View Library, of course!) by donating decorated canvas bags with literary themes for the Friends of the Library book sales.
Each December, I host a painting party to raise funds for Heifer International—contact me if you’d like an invitation or are interested in commissioning a piece. Prices vary depending on the item, but small trays or boxes typically range from $20 to $30.
